Texas Amber Alert: Merlin Chirinos-Argueta last seen in Allen
A Texas Amber Alert has been issued for Merlin Chirinos-Argueta, a 13-year-old girl missing from Louisiana, after she was reportedly seen in Allen, local officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately.
Merlin disappeared from her home on Bain Boulevard in Keithville, Louisiana in the early hours of Thursday. She was later spotted in the Allen, Texas area at approximately 7:10 p.m., according to the amber alert.
The missing girl is believed to be with 18-year-old Daniel Vasquez Mejia. He’s described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall.
Daniel and Merlin are traveling in a white 2008 Chevrolet Suburban with Texas license plate number VML6061. The vehicle has a skull sticker on the rear driver’s side back window and a mojo sticker on the passenger side back window.
Merlin is described as a 13-year-old Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds.
Earlier on Thursday, the Louisiana State Police issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory on behalf of the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office. Details about the circumstances of her disappearance have not been released.
Anyone who sees Merlin, Daniel, or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana at (318) 675-2170 if you have other information that could help investigators.
