4 killed after single-engine plane crashes in Fresno, California
A fourth person aboard a small plane that crashed in Fresno County, California, on Saturday has died, according to officials. A woman and two children were previously confirmed dead in the accident.
The aircraft crashed at about 1:50 p.m. Saturday on the 7300 block of North Blythe Avenue, where deputies, firefighters and police officers found it on fire atop a bluff along the San Joaquin River.
Two children were pronounced dead at the scene. Two adults, a man and woman, were taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Danna Eady, 41, of Auberry, died at the hospital Sunday, while Craig Eady, 44, also of Auberry, died Monday, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office. Officials have not identified the two children.
Firefighters extinguished the flames and prevented them from spreading to nearby homes. The cause of the crash has not been confirmed.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the incident.
