Robert Redford dead at 89
Actor and Oscar-winning director Robert Redford has died at the age of 89, according to a New York Times report. Cindi Berger, the chief executive of the publicity firm Rogers & Cowan PMK, told the publication that he died in his sleep at his Utah home.
Berger did not disclose a specific cause of death.
The actor’s most popular films include “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” “The Way We Were” and “The Sting.”

During his time in Hollywood, Redford received numerous accolades, including an Oscar for best director and two Golden Globes.
Former President Barack Obama even awarded Redford the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.
