Ohio man pleads guilty to threatening to kill ICE agents
A Columbus, Ohio, man has pleaded guilty to threatening to kill federal immigration agents in messages posted on X, after investigators searched his home and found five firearms, ammunition, body armor and military-style helmets.
Justin Mesael Novoa, 21, pleaded guilty Monday to threatening to assault or murder a federal law enforcement officer and making threatening interstate communications, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in southern Ohio.
Investigators said Novoa used the screen names “Lord of Frenzied Flame” and “Father2High.” In a June 2025 post, he allegedly wrote: “they should blast every ice agent they find.” Months later, he wrote that he could not wait to shoot ICE agents.
Federal investigators traced the account to Novoa through the email address, phone number and IP addresses associated with it, according to an affidavit. During a December search of his Columbus home, Novoa admitted that the account was his.
“Alright, you got me. That was me,” Novoa told agents, according to the affidavit. He also said no one else had the password to the account.
Agents seized two rifles, two shotguns, a handgun and ammunition from Novoa’s bedroom, along with two military-style helmets, a body armor vest and electronic devices.
He was arrested in January and indicted the following month. He faces up to 10 years in prison on the threat charge and up to five years on the interstate communications charge.
