Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani dies at 91

Legendary Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani has died at the age of 91. The company he founded shared the news on Thursday, saying he passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.
Armani was the owner and founder of the Armani Group, known for its sleek, modern Italian style and elegance.
“Tireless, he worked until his final days, dedicating himself to the company, its collections and the diverse and ever-evolving projects both existing and in progress,” the statement read.
The news of Armani’s passing comes after he missed Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week in June. According to CNN, it was the first time he had not attended his own runway event.
At the time, his company issued a statement saying he was “currently recovering at home” but did not disclose a specific health condition.
