FDA recalls select vitamin B12 gummies due to potential peanut allergen risk

A warning if you take Vitamin B12 gummy products –– The FDA has issued a recall after three products revealed the presence of peanuts. This poses a serious risk to those with peanut allergies.
Vita Warehouse Corp. is voluntarily recalling Welby brand Vitamin B12 Energy Support gummy product 1000 mcg 140 gummies, Berkely Jensen Vitamin B12 1000 mcg 250 Gummies, and VitaGlobe Vitamin B12 Extra Strength 60 Gummies.
The vitamins were sold at ALDI, BJ’s and online through marketplaces like Amazon.
According to the FDA, one test result indicated a potential presence of a peanut allergen. Although internal testing conducted by Vita Warehouse Corp. has verified the absence of peanuts in the product, the recall is out of an abundance of caution.
No other Welby, Berkley Jensen or VitaGlobe vitamins are affected by the recall.
