2 killed after plane crashes into home in Akron, Ohio
A plane crashed into a home in Akron, Ohio, killing two people on board and sparking a fire that damaged the residence, according to officials and local media reports.
The crash happened shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of Canterbury Circle in southern Akron, where emergency crews responded after the aircraft struck a home, according to police.
Officials said at least two people on board the plane were killed. No injuries were reported among residents of the home.
Footage from nearby residents showed flames burning after the crash, with fire damage visible on part of the residence.
