When officers arrived, they found the two Hispanic boys suffering from gunshot wounds. Their 35-year-old father, also Hispanic, was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and identified by police as the suspect.

Fire department paramedics took all three to local hospitals. Both children were pronounced dead despite emergency medical efforts, while their father remains in custody and is receiving treatment. His status is unknown.
