1 killed, 4 injured in Connecticut bar shooting
One person was killed and four others were injured following an overnight shooting outside a bar in Hartford, Connecticut, according to authorities.
The shooting happened at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday outside 737 Wethersfield Avenue, where police were sent after a ShotSpotter alert detected gunfire, according to the Hartford Police Department. Officers arrived to find a large crowd and an unresponsive person who had been shot.
Emergency medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene, Hartford police said. The victim was not immediately identified.
Four other gunshot victims arrived at area hospitals in private vehicles. They included two men in their 30s and a man in his 20s, as well as an adult woman. All reported to be in stable condition.
The fourth victim, a man in his 30s, was listed in critical but stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately known, and no arrests have been announced. Detectives with the Major Crimes Division and Crime Scene Division are investigating the incident.
