Wrongful death lawsuits filed against Trump admin. over boat strikes

The families of two Trinidadian men have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Trump administration after they were killed during a U.S. strike on an alleged smuggling boat in October.

According to the lawsuit, Chad Joseph, 26, and Rishi Samaroo, 41, were killed in one of the administration’s 36 strikes since September. It alleges the two men were returning home from Venezuela when a missile struck their boat, killing both men and four others.

The ACLU is representing the families, and is expected to share more details on Tuesday.
