US destroys 3 of Iran’s main bridges as Trump follows through with threat to hit ‘extremely hard’

President Donald Trump is following through with his Wednesday threat to hit Iran “extremely hard.” The U.S. military has now conducted strikes on major bridges there.

Trump says three of Iran’s largest bridges have now been destroyed. He posted a video on Truth Social showing a strike on the B1 bridge, which connects Tehran to the city of Karaj.

Local media reported that at least eight people were killed in that strike and nearly 100 were injured.

Hours later, Trump posted again, saying the U.S. “hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran.” He said bridges are the first targets, then electric power plants.

Iran fires back

Iran is responding by launching attacks across the region.

A drone strike hit Kuwait’s Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery early Friday, marking the second strike there in two days.

Kuwaiti officials also said an Iranian attack damaged a desalination plant used to provide the majority of the water for the Gulf Arab States — including Iran.

Israel also reported fresh Iranian attacks. Falling debris from a missile that was intercepted over Ramat Gan damaged a house early Friday.

Saudi Arabia also said it destroyed several Iranian drones and and the United Arab Emirates’ said its defenses were activated.
