Media Miss by the right: Trump administration doubling bailout aid to Argentina to $40B

The Trump administration is looking to double its so-called bailout for Argentina. The administration has already pledged $20 billion in financial aid to help stabilize the country’s economy as it faces high inflation and widespread poverty. The influx of U.S. aid comes ahead of Argentina’s Oct. 26 legislative elections.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent now says the administration wants to add an additional $20 billion in financing through a mix of sovereign funds and the private sector.

President Donald Trump has said the aid would be contingent on Argentine President Javier Milei’s political party winning the election. He has also voiced support for Milei.

Meanwhile, critics have raised concerns about the aid, saying it overlooks urgent domestic needs, particularly those of U.S. farmers. China is now purchasing soybeans from Argentina rather than from the U.S. because of the Trump administration’s tariff policies.

Media Miss by the left: Maryland teens get probation in high-profile DOGE attack

Two Maryland teenagers have been sentenced to probation for the assault of former DOGE staffer Edward Coristine, known as “Big Balls.” One of the 15-year-olds was placed on probation for 12 months, while the other was placed on probation for nine months.

Both avoided jail time, despite the prosecution’s request for detention. During sentencing, the judge noted the juvenile justice system’s emphasis on rehabilitation over punishment.

Coristine suffered significant injuries in the attack, including a concussion and a broken nose.
