Savannah Guthrie says family still has hope 2 weeks after mother’s abduction
Savannah Guthrie posted a new video message on social media saying her family still has hope two weeks after her mother, Nancy Guthrie, was taken from her Arizona home.
“It’s been two weeks since our mom was taken, and I just wanted to say that we still have hope and we still believe,” Guthrie said in the video posted on Saturday evening. “To whoever has her or knows where she is, it’s never too late. You are not lost or alone, and it’s never too late to do the right thing.”
“We are here. We believe. We believe in the essential goodness of every human being. It’s never too late,” she added.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, disappeared from her home in the Catalina Foothills north of Tucson. Authorities have said she is believed to have been taken against her will.
The FBI has increased its reward to up to $100,000 for information leading to her location or to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.
Investigators have released surveillance images of a male suspect seen near the home and said they continue reviewing thousands of tips from the public.
