Savannah Guthrie released a new video appeal after a new ransom note surfaced in the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie. Investigators have been reviewing the authenticity of the new message sent to Tucson station KOLD.

“We received your message and we understand. We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her,” Guthrie said in the video posted Saturday. “This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us and we will pay.”

CNN reported deputies and agents were back at the Guthrie home Friday night after a flurry of search activity, with drone footage showing personnel on the roof and searching the property with flashlights, and a car being towed away near the home.

The outlet reported officials are probing whether the new message sent to KOLD is authentic. The note included sensitive information and did not set a deadline, according to a KOLD anchor.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing after family members went to check on her and called 911, authorities have said. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has said blood found on the porch was confirmed to belong to her and investigators believe she was taken against her will.

The FBI has said it is investigating ransom material sent to local and national media outlets, including a letter received by TMZ earlier this week, but that earlier ransom letters did not include communication protocols or proof of life.

The note referenced a 5 p.m. deadline that passed without contact, authorities said, adding it was the first of two deadlines in that note.

Authorities have released a timeline showing Nancy Guthrie returned to her residence late Jan. 31 after a family dinner, before a doorbell camera disconnected in the early hours the next day and a pacemaker app later showed her device disconnecting from her phone.

The FBI has announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to her recovery and the arrest and conviction of anyone involved.
