Joe Rogan is the latest celebrity to poke fun at Katy Perry following her recent trip to space with Blue Origin.
During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience on Saturday, April 19, the podcast host joked about Perry’s transformation since returning from the historic April 14 flight.
“It was very profound,” Rogan said. “I don’t know if you’ve seen Katy Perry talk about it, but she’s basically a guru now.”
He also mocked the pop star for bringing a daisy aboard the New Shepard capsule, which she displayed to the camera while floating in zero gravity.
The flight, Blue Origin’s 11th human mission (NS-31), featured an all-female crew including Perry, Gayle King, Amanda Nguyễn, Aisha Bowe, Kerianne Flynn and Lauren Sánchez. The 10-minute journey crossed the Karman line, the internationally recognized boundary of space.
Meanwhile, fast-food chain Wendy’s attempted to clarify a cheeky April 14 social media post — “Can we send her back?” — widely interpreted as a jab at Perry. A spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly and People that the company meant no harm.
“We always bring a little spice to our socials, but Wendy’s has a ton of respect for Katy Perry and her out-of-this-world talent,” the statement said.
