Dispute over home run ball at Phillies-Marlins game goes viral

A video from Friday’s game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Marlins has gone viral, showing a tense moment in the stands over a home run ball hit by Phillies outfielder Harrison Bader.
Shortly after Bader sent the ball into the outfield stands at loanDepot Park in Florida, several fans reached for the souvenir. A man ultimately secured it and gave it to his young son, who was reportedly celebrating his birthday.
Moments later, a woman approached the pair in the stands, claiming she had the ball first. The interaction, caught on the stadium’s Jumbotron, shows the woman grabbing the man’s arm and insisting he hand it over. The man eventually relented, taking the ball from his son’s glove and giving it to the woman.
The scene drew attention both in the stadium and online. A Marlins employee was later seen giving the boy a gift bag, and after the game, Bader personally met with the young fan, giving him a signed bat.
The incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many users weighing in on ballpark etiquette and fan behavior.
