President Donald Trump has reportedly dismissed six National Security Council officials following an Oval Office meeting with conservative activist Laura Loomer, as first reported by The New York Times.
Loomer, who reportedly advocated for the firings, warned Trump and other officials about “disloyal” employees within the administration.
Loomer identifies alleged disloyal officials
According to multiple reports, Loomer called out approximately a dozen members of Representative Mike Waltz’s national security team, labeling them as “disloyal” to Trump and recommending their removal.
A staunch supporter of Trump, Loomer was frequently seen on the 2024 campaign trail. Following her meeting in the Oval Office, she took to X to address the situation, stating:
“I woke up this morning to learn that there are still people in and around the West Wing who are leaking to the hostile, left-wing media about President Trump’s confidential and private meetings in the Oval Office. I want to reiterate how important it is that people who gain access to the White House or the administration respect the privacy of their conversations with President Trump and his senior staff.”

Loomer also declined to disclose details of her meeting but emphasized her commitment to “strong vetting.”
Pattern of conservative activist involvement
This is the second instance of a conservative activist being linked to the dismissal of national security officials.
Previously, Christopher Rufo published logs allegedly showing NSA staffers engaging in explicit conversations in chat rooms. Within days of Rufo’s revelations, individuals were fired.
Officials reportedly fired
Among those reportedly dismissed following Loomer’s meeting with Trump are:
- Brian Walsh, Director for Intelligence.
- Thomas Boodry, Senior Director for Legislative Affairs.
- David Feith, Senior Director overseeing Technology and National Security.
