Molotov cocktail thrown at Tesla office in New Orleans; no injuries reported
A Tesla sales office in New Orleans was targeted in an arson attack, according to federal investigators. Officials did not release information about a suspect or motive.
The fire happened in the early hours of Tuesday at 2801 Tchoupitoulas Street, near the Mississippi River in an industrial area of New Orleans where Tesla operates a sales office and adjacent service center.
ATF New Orleans said special agents and certified fire investigators responded with the New Orleans Police Department after a suspected Molotov cocktail was used to start a fire at the front door of the Tesla sales office.
A photo released by ATF New Orleans showed heavy scorch marks around the door of the Tesla lease office, but no other visible damage.
Officials did not say whether anyone was inside at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
Authorities did not release any information about possible suspects or what may have motivated the arson attack.
