Texas Amber Alert: 2-year-old Alianna Bernardez-Ocampo missing from Austin
UPDATE: Alianna has been found. The amber alert has been canceled.
A Texas Amber Alert has been issued for 2-year-old Alianna Bernardez-Ocampo after she was allegedly taken from Austin in Travis County, local officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately.
Alianna was last seen at 1:39 p.m. on Wednesday in the 1900 block of Willow Creek Drive in Austin, according to the amber alert. Specific details about the circumstances of her disappearance were not immediately released.
She is described as a 2-year-old Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes, standing 2 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 30 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and a diaper.
The suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Kermith Zapata-Bernardez. He’s described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. Additional information in the alert says he has a short fade.
Zapata-Bernardez and Alianna are believed to be traveling in a white 2022 Hyundai Venue with Texas license plate number SWY9599. The vehicle has damage on the front left quarter panel. It’s unknown where Zapata-Bernardez may be taking the child.
Anyone who sees Alianna, Zapata-Bernardez, or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Austin Police Department at (512) 974-0911 if you have any other information that could help investigators in their search.
