WWE legend Kane challenged Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to a wrestling match. The offer comes after Walz made a claim about Trump supporters on California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s podcast this week.
“I think I could kick most of their a–, I know I can outrun them. I don’t know if we’re going to fall into that place where we, okay, we challenge you to, you know, a WWE fight here, type of thing,” Walz said.
Kane, whose real name is Glenn Jacobs, is now the Republican mayor of Knox County in Tennessee and asked Walz to step into the ring with a post to X Thursday, March 20.
“All joking aside @GovTimWalz, let’s put our money where our mouth is … in a charity wrestling match. We’ll split the gate 50/50 between our chosen organizations. I’ll kick things off myself with a $10,000 donation. What do you say?” Jacobs wrote.
Gov. DeSantis offers to host the match
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis offered to host the wrestling match in his state saying in a post to X, “Florida can serve as the neutral site host. We’ve got a lot of great spots and a lot of wrestling fans…”
What are Jacobs’ ties to Trump?
Jacobs, who once partnered with fellow WWE legend the Undertaker, forming the Brothers of Destruction duo, made a video on TikTok in October supporting President Donald Trump ahead of the election.
Walz has not yet responded to the offer from Jacobs, whose bio on X reads, “I used to beat up people for a living. Now I will protect their freedom.”
Jacobs is 7 feet tall, while Walz is reportedly around 6 feet tall.
Walz describes himself on X as a “dad, husband, teacher, coach, veteran. Governor of Minnesota.”
