Images of a masked man at the front door of Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home were captured on two different days, not just on the day authorities believe she was abducted, according to ABC News and CNN.

On Monday, ABC News reported that sources familiar with the investigation said the image released by the FBI showing the suspect without a backpack was taken before Feb. 1, the date investigators believe Guthrie was kidnapped.

CNN reported that the photos and video released by the FBI on Feb. 10 were taken on two separate days, citing a source who said the masked suspect was not wearing a backpack in one of the images.

According to ABC News, one theory under consideration is that the suspect first approached the door on an earlier day, noticed the Nest doorbell camera and left. He later returned and was seen tampering with the device and placing branches in front of the lens, the outlet reported.

Guthrie, 84, is the mother of NBC “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie. She was abducted from her home in the Catalina Foothills area near Tucson, Arizona.

The FBI has described the suspect as a man wearing a mask, carrying a black Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack and a handgun holster. The agency has offered a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to Guthrie’s recovery or to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
