Media Miss by the left: Johnson blames Minnesota Attorney General for deaths of Pretti, Good
Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., is placing the blame for the shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti on Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison.
During a Thursday oversight hearing, Johnson argued that Ellison was aware of what he described as activist training centers in his state but failed to act.
“I can’t imagine encouraging people, ‘Put yourselves in harm’s way. Get out there and record that,’” Johnson said.
He added, “A tragedy was going to happen and you encouraged it. And you oughta feel damn guilty about it.”
Ellison pushed back sharply.
“Are you asking me for comment, Senator? Cause everything you said was untrue,” Ellison responded. “It was a nice theatrical performance but it was all lies.”
Ellison acknowledged he was aware of the centers but said they’re protected under the First Amendment, which he supports.
