Bad Bunny says “ICE Out” while accepting Grammy Award

Bad Bunny denounced U.S. immigration enforcement during his Grammy Awards acceptance speech, declaring “ICE Out” as he accepted the best música urbana album award.

“Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say ICE Out,” Bad Bunny said at the 68th Grammy Awards on Sunday night. “We are not savages, we are not animals, we are not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.”

“The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love,” he added. “If we fight, we have to do it with love.”

Bad Bunny, a Puerto Rican artist whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has previously spoken out against U.S. immigration enforcement policies and the treatment of migrants.

Bad Bunny is scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl LX halftime show next week at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

President Trump criticized the selection of Bad Bunny and Green Day as Super Bowl performers in an interview with the New York Post, saying, “I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible”
