New video of fatal ICE shooting purportedly shows officer’s perspective

The White House on Friday reposted a new video of Wednesday’s fatal shooting of a woman in Minneapolis by a federal immigration agent. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent who shot the woman apparently took the video with his own cell phone.

The video is about 50 seconds long and begins moments before the agent fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Good.

What does the video show?

The video begins with a masked agent — later identified in multiple news reports and by his family as 43-year-old Jonathan Ross — getting out of a vehicle parked on the passenger side of Good’s red Honda SUV. A large dog can be seen in the backseat of Good’s vehicle before Ross moves to the driver’s side.

Good, wearing a knit hat, has her arm out of the open window as Ross approaches.

“That’s fine, dude,” she says. “I’m not mad at you.”

Others in the background are heard yelling at the agents, saying, “Show your face.” Ross goes behind Good’s vehicle and records her license plate as another woman films him.

“We don’t change our plates every day,” the woman says, referring to the ICE practice of swapping license tags on its vehicles to shield agents’ identities.

“I say go get yourself some lunch, big boy,” the woman adds. “Go ahead.”

By then, another masked agent, who arrived in another vehicle, is approaching Good.

“Out of the car,” he tells Good. “Out of the car. Get out of the f—ing car. Get out of the car.”

When he tries to open the driver’s side door, Good puts her vehicle into reverse briefly before turning her steering wheel to the right — away from the officers — and begins to move forward.

Another video shows that Ross began drawing his handgun while Good was backing away from him. On his video, Ross can be heard yelling, “Whoa!” as he opens fire. Three shots can be heard.

Good’s vehicle continued several yards down the street, crashing into a parked car. A voice can be heard on Ross’ video: “F—ing b—h.”

Straight Arrow News has not independently verified the video. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and Vice President JD Vance shared it from the X account of Alpha News, a Minnesota-based conservative news outlet.

In her repost of the video, Leavitt criticized the media, saying it intentionally lied to the public regarding this story.

“The reason trust in the media is at an all-time low is because they intentionally lie to the public to advance the Democrats’ narrative,” she wrote.

The FBI did not immediately respond to SAN’s request for information.
