A California woman who prosecutors said led an online extremist group has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for soliciting hate crimes, encouraging the murder of federal officials, and conspiring to provide material support to terrorists, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

The Justice Department said Dallas Humber, 35, of Elk Grove, led the Terrorgram Collective between July 2022 and September 2024. Prosecutors described the group as a white supremacist transnational terrorist network that operated primarily online.

Humber and other members of the group solicited individuals to commit hate crimes, attacks on critical infrastructure, and assassinations. Prosecutors said the group provided ideological encouragement and guidance intended to help individuals plan and carry out acts of violence.

The Justice Department said individuals inspired or guided by the group Humber led were linked to plots and attacks in the United States and abroad. Those included plots to attack energy facilities in New Jersey and Tennessee, a plot in Wisconsin tied to plans to assassinate a federal official, and an attempted assassination of an Australian official.

Prosecutors also cited international attacks connected to the network, including a shooting at an LGBT bar in Bratislava, Slovakia; school shootings in Aracruz, Brazil; and a stabbing attack outside a mosque in Eskişehir, Turkey.

“From the comfort of her suburban California home, Humber used online platforms to celebrate violence and solicit attacks that took the lives of innocent people and injured others around the world,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John A. Eisenberg. “Her incarceration makes the world a safer place.”

U.S. Attorney Eric Grant said Humber “actively encouraged violence against, and the murder of, individuals based on their race, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity.”

The case was investigated by the FBI’s Sacramento Field Office with assistance from domestic and international law enforcement agencies, according to the Justice Department.
