Second Dallas ICE shooting detainee dies: NBC

A second U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainee shot by a sniper at a Dallas facility last week has died, according to an NBC report. Miguel Ángel García-Hernández died early Monday morning after his family took him off life support, the report said.

García-Hernández, 32, was one of three migrants shot during the Sept. 24 attack.

The suspect, identified as Joshua Jahn, 29, opened fire on a federal ICE detention facility in Dallas, with the Trump administration claiming the shooter meant to target agents.

Dallas police found Jahn dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Jahn’s ammunition reportedly had anti-ICE messages engraved, but all three victims were migrants.

One detainee, identified by ICE on Monday as Norlan Guzmán-Fuente, 37, was killed on-site, while García-Hernández and another detainee were wounded and taken to the hospital. No federal officers were hurt.

A senior Department of Homeland Security official identified the third shooting victim as Jose Andres Bordones-Molina of Venezuela, according to NBC. However, Bordones-Molina’s status remains unknown.
