Authorities are investigating the deaths of two adult men whose bodies were found on separate dates at a recycling center in Portland, Oregon, according to police.

The Portland Police Bureau said officers from its North Precinct responded to the recycling facility in the 700 block of North Hunt Street after one body was discovered on Monday, January 5, followed by a second body found at the same location on Friday.

Police said the department’s Homicide Unit responded to both scenes and is investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the identities of the two men, as well as the cause and manner of death.

Authorities have not released information about how the bodies were discovered, how long the men may have been deceased, or whether the two cases are believed to be connected. No arrests have been announced.

“While there is no information to suggest any immediate threat to the public, detectives are continuing to investigate,” the Bureau said.
